A young girl spends the summer as an intern at Lockheed, watching old stock footage of the moon. She decides she wants to let loose, so she goes to a party that will change her forever.

The story is based on Konstantine Gamsakhurdia's novel and depicts the social and political changes taking place in Soviet Georgia in the 1930s through the line of the main characters: Tarash Emkhvari and Arzakan Zvambaya.

Due to bad weather, gymnast Katya Prokhorova, going to international competitions, ends up in her hometown of Razlelsk and, arriving at the school where she once studied, meets a young singing teacher and falls in love with him.
